Y Combinator Welcomes Teenage Coder-Turned-Founder as General Partner

Y Combinator has appointed Harshita Arora as a General Partner, marking a significant milestone in the accelerator’s history. Arora, who began her career as a self-taught programmer, first joined YC as a Visiting Partner during the Summer 2025 batch. Her appointment makes her the youngest individual to assume this role in YC’s history, underscoring the organization’s commitment to empowering young, unconventional founders.

Harshita’s journey from coding enthusiast to influential entrepreneur traces back to her teenage years. She discovered programming at the age of 13 and, by 15, had made the bold decision to leave formal education behind to pursue her passion full-time. At 16, she developed Crypto Price Tracker, a mobile application designed to simplify cryptocurrency portfolio management. The app caught Apple’s attention and was featured prominently in the App Store. Following its success, the product was acquired, and Arora received India’s Bal Shakti Puraskar, a prestigious national award recognizing exceptional achievements among youth.

Her next chapter unfolded in the United States. After securing an O-1 visa—often reserved for individuals with extraordinary ability—Harshita relocated to San Francisco, where she co-founded AtoB (YC S20) alongside her partner. Their initial startup idea, however, faced an unexpected challenge: the COVID-19 pandemic. With no prior experience in trucking or payments, the duo pivoted by immersing themselves in the industry. They spent weeks visiting truck stops across the country, engaging directly with drivers and fleet operators to identify a viable solution. This hands-on research led to the creation of what is now known as AtoB—a company building modern financial infrastructure tailored specifically for the trucking sector.

AtoB has since grown into a Series C-stage enterprise, serving over 30,000 fleets across the United States. The platform functions as a financial backbone for trucking businesses, offering tools such as fleet cards, instant payouts, and streamlined payment solutions. Often compared to Stripe for Trucking, the company has redefined how fleet owners manage transactions and cash flow, eliminating inefficiencies that have long plagued the industry.

In her new role as a General Partner at YC, Harshita will work closely with founders at every stage of their company’s growth. Her background brings a rare blend of technical expertise, real-world startup experience, and a deep understanding of fintech and infrastructure—all honed through years of building and scaling companies from the ground up.
